THE AWAKENING RETREAT

Chaing Mai, Thailand

November 2nd - 7th, 2026

Awaken to your true nature!

Join Aimee as she brings her passion for practices that invite awakening and freedom to this five-night, all-inclusive offering. This time away has been designed to help you step gently into the deeper realms of yourself, develop a relationship with who you truly are, and discover a profound connection to your inner wisdom.

This retreat is a deep dive into the body's systems. Through these body maps, we are guided to the realization that every single part of our being has the potential to become aware of itself. The result of such awakening is a richer, more vibrant experience of living, the ultimate promise of yoga. Aimee draws on her love for the profound and life-affirming teachings of Tantric Shaivism and her extensive training in many styles of yoga to assist you in the blossoming of this potential within your being.

Our body and its movement are essential experiences of the interconnectedness within ourselves and with all of life. This precious connection to the potency of the source power moving through us and as us can dissolve inner conflict and the fractured parts of ourselves. From this place of wholeness, our inherent creativity and joy awaken, allowing us to live in a way that feels playful, spontaneous, and free. This is our birthright!

KIND WORDS

KIND WORDS

  • I had the pleasure of joining Aimee on one of her retreats, and it was such a special experience. It gave me the space to slow down, practice yoga every day, and take a real break from the busyness of everyday life.

One of the best parts was being with a caring mix of people. It was relaxed, uplifting, and easy to connect. Aimee brings such a great mix of wisdom, humour, and genuine care to everything she does, and her energy really sets the tone for the whole retreat.

The food was delicious and the dishes were carefully prepared, and there was plenty of free time to rest or explore the local area. I came home feeling rested, reset, and really grateful for the whole experience.

Mala Dhara, Chaing Mai

Nestled among the lush rice fields just outside Chiang Mai, Mala Dhara is a sanctuary for rest, renewal, and reconnection. This eco-chic retreat centre celebrates simplicity and sustainability, with beautiful earthen villas, an open-air yoga shala, a saltwater pool, and organic gardens that supply its delicious farm-to-table vegetarian cuisine.

Surrounded by the gentle rhythm of northern Thailand’s countryside, Mala Dhara offers the perfect setting to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in practice. Every detail invites you to return to nature and to yourself — a true home for the heart.

The Rice Field Yoga Shala is located in the sublime breeze of the Mala Dhara rice fields, with open wall-less views of the sky, rice fields and distant mountains.  This large yoga shala is the preferred sunrise gathering space and is the shala most groups seeking to align with nature can’t resist using during the majority of their yoga retreat.  With such an expansive feeling of being immersed in nature combined with the convenience of a nearby bathroom and electricity, it is easy to see why retreat groups often use the Rice Field Yoga Shala as their base camp.

At Mala Dhara Chiang Mai Yoga Retreat Centre, Eco Resort and Organic Farm, they like food, they like eating, and they like to share. Their Kin Dee Plant-Based Vegan Restaurant is the very heart of Mala Dhara and reflects their attitudes and ethos. They love their food: fun, fresh, local, organic, and of the highest quality in every way possible. They strive to pour their hearts out, laugh until it hurts and take the source, quality and taste of all of their ingredients seriously.

The Mala Dhara menu changes with the seasons, the harvests and the playful creative juices flowing through our living kitchen…

The beauty of Tantric yoga, and any offering steeped in its teachings, is that whilst it upholds the premise that the practice is about enlightenment, it acknowledges that most of us, including myself, will not experience that in this lifetime. An equally important goal in this tradition is to have a beautiful life!

That is my wish for us all.

I look forward to walking this sacred path with you.
